MongoDB took over the city around MongoDB.local SF, kicking things off with Project Greenlight: illuminating two of San Francisco’s most iconic landmarks, City Hall and the Ferry Building, both glowing in unmistakable MongoDB green.
All week long, the brand is showing up across San Francisco in unexpected ways—from Rivian fleets wrapped in MongoDB green cruising through the city, to local coffee shop takeovers with Motoring Coffee complete with custom drinks, exclusive swag, and surprise moments. .local attendees can create AI-generated developer trading cards made just for them, gain access to invite-only hacker house afterparties, and even stumbleupon underground robot fights (yes, really).
Designed and produced in partnership with Manifold, the activation transforms a developer conference into a city-wide cultural moment—reimagining how B2B brands can show up with true consumer-scale energy.
“MongoDB had not done anything this multifaceted before as part of their series of flagship events, MongoDB .local. The goal was to paint the city green in a multitude of ways that made it nearly impossible for VCs and the startup, enterprise, and developer communities not to see their impact, relevance, and legacy in Silicon Valley and beyond”
“The tech company partnered with brand experience agency Manifold to extend its conference beyond the venue and into the city itself, using large-scale experiential marketing to reach developers and the broader tech community with multiple cultural touchpoints.”
